A Free Useful Tool

In this blog post, I am going to share a free useful tool to create the title page of your manuscript automatically.

Here, I will walk you through the Author Arranger, a free robust, and flexible useful tool.

The tool lets you generate correctly formatted title pages of your manuscript for submission to the journals.

Once you upload author information as per template key, the tool will take a few seconds to generate the title pages automatically.

In addition to that, the web tool saves your time and you can create a title page automatically as per your journal format.

The Author Arranger was designed and developed by Mitchell Machiela and Geoffrey Tobias in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information (CBIIT).

How Does It Work to Create the Signature Page of Your Manuscript

In this section, I will discuss and demonstrate the Author Arranger tool for creating the title pages of the manuscript automatically.

Let’s get started.

Step #1

The first thing you need to do is open the Author Arranger on your browser.

Once you open the web-based tool, you will be taken to the following page:

Now, you just download the Author Arranger template of an excel sheet with instructions on how to complete it from the same website.

In this format, each column implies a particular field.

And it will aid in the ordering of each signature element later on.

Below is the snapshot of the format:

In the uploaded file, the order of authors will correspond to the order of author contributions in the Author Arranger tool.

Once you download the template,  then upload it back to the tool to generate the correctly formatted title page.

The tool allows you to upload various types of data formats like xls, xlsx, csv and txt.

Besides, you can also change it using the Reorder tab.

In my case, I use the sample format from this website.

Once you click the load sample, the following page will appear:
